Dept of Health Seeking Public Comment - Distribution of Marijuana and Tobacco Funds

NOTE:  The online survey has been revised.  The comment fields now allow more text to be entered.

The Washington State Legislature allocated $15 million in funding (for the 2015-2017 biennium) to support a marijuana education and public health program, and for tobacco prevention activities. Since that time, the Marijuana Prevention and Education and Tobacco Control and Prevention Programs have been developing plans for how to spend these funds.

We want to provide opportunities for community members to:

  1. Learn about ways state legislation (HB 2136) is guiding our decision making.
  2. Provide comments before the plan is finalized.

We encourage you to contribute to this plan in one of the following ways:

  1. Attend a community meeting
    • Spokane: September 1 (Tuesday)
      1:00-3:00
      Spokane City Hall
      808 West Spokane Falls Blvd.
      Spokane, WA 99201
    • Tacoma: September 3 (Thursday)
      10:00-12:00
      Tacoma Convention Center
      1500 Broadway
      Tacoma, WA 98402
  2. Complete this questionnaire by September 11.

Before completing the survey or attending a community meeting, please read these materials for more information and context:
