Growing Positive Community Norms: Innovations in Research, Practice, and Leadership

This summer The Montana Institute will take you to the leading edge of Positive Community Norms. Practitioners are tackling ever-more-complicated issues and innovating ways to apply the model to increase healthy behaviors within organizations, across communities, and at state- and nationwide levels.

Through cutting-edge case studies, skill-building workshops, and leadership development sessions, you will develop new tools and insights to help you start, strengthen, or sustain a Positive Community Norms project. You will come away prepared to be more effective in creating and leading change in your community.

Spend the days being challenged and inspired by the Institute’s enlightening presentations, deep discussions, and interactive, hands-on activities. Then take advantage of Montana’s endless summer evenings to hike, fish, raft, or visit nearby Yellowstone National Park.

The Montana Summer Institute was created by Dr. Jeff Linkenbach, a pioneer in social norms and the founder of the Science of the Positive and the Positive Community Norms approach to behavioral change. Dr. Linkenbach will be joined by an impressive faculty of prevention leaders who are working to grow Positive Community Norms across the country
