Legal and Policy Tools in Drug Overdose Prevention Webinar

Overview
The Network for Public Health Law is presenting a webinar on August 28th from 10:00am to 11:30am PST on “Legal and Policy Tools in Drug Overdose Prevention.”  This webinar will focus on two legal and policy options that have seen rapid uptake in recent years: Prescription Monitoring Programs (PMPs) — electronic databases that collect patient-specific prescription information and make that information available to authorized entities, and legal changes that increase access to the opioid overdose medication naloxone.  Presenters, including the Injury Center’s own Debbie Dowell, will provide background on prescription drug overdose epidemiology and legal tools related to PDMPs and naloxone.
