Partnership for Drug Free Kids Launches Above the Influence Toolkit

The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids has launched a new Above the Influence (ATI) toolkit for teens.  Supporters of the Medicine Abuse Project and representatives from youth serving organizations gathered at the National Geographic headquarters in DC for a panel discussion about teen pressures and the prescription medicine abuse epidemic. Guests also learned more about the new ATI resource, which includes teen-informed activities that can be used with youth 12-17 years old across a variety of community settings to boost confidence, and prevent risk-taking behaviors, including alcohol and drug-abuse. A 10-minute video entitled “Not Prescribed”, is also a key feature of the toolkit and tells the four real life stories of families impacted by medicine abuse.
