Prevention Specialist - Crescent School District (CPWI Community Coordinator)

Employment Terms:

  • Part‐time 25 hours per week average
  • 12 months, 11 Holidays and 10 Vacation Days
  • Benefits Eligible position

Salary:

  • $24 per hour base rate PSE contract

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. 
  • Courses in health education, chemical dependency, education, psychology and community development or in a related field. 
  • Evidence of two years of experience is required or more in community coordination, or communitybased programs involving youth, drug/alcohol/tobacco use or other related community health prevention or counseling or a related equivalent experience. 
  • Knowledge of science and issues surrounding substance abuse, prevention and intervention and community mobilization and youth development principles. 
  • Knowledge of risk and protective factor theory and application. 
  • Computer and office equipment operation experience. 
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local laws.
