This position serves as the Cessation Consultant for the State Tobacco and Vapor Product Prevention and Control Program (TVPPCP) within the Community Based Prevention Section (CBP). The Cessation Consultant position oversees and coordinates all cessation strategies, tactics, and activities for the TVPPCP. This position supports the Department of Health's mission by collaborating with our partners and stakeholders to enhance the health of individuals, families, and communities through the planning, implementation and evaluation of cessation interventions to address tobacco use, the leading cause of preventable death in Washington State.

This is a full-time permanent Health Services Consultant 3 (HSC 3) within the Division of Prevention and Community Health – Office of Healthy Communities, Community Based Prevention.  This recruitment may be used to fill other HSC 3 positions within the unit.
