Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training - ASIST
What is ASIST?
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is for everyone 16 or older-regardless of prior experience-who wants to be able to provide suicide first aid. Shown by major studies to significantly reduce suicidality, the ASIST model teaches effective intervention skill while helping to build suicide prevention networks in the community.
Who should attend?
Ultimately, ASIST is founded on the principle that everyone can make a difference in preventing suicide: Regardless of experience, profession or education. The more people in the community who have suicide intervention training, the more likely it is they will be able to identify someone at risk and intervene to keep them safe.
We are all at risk. Anyone is welcome to come and learn how to foster hope to those in crisis.
