The U.S. Department of Justice's National Indian Country Training Initiative (NICTI), together with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is pleased to announce the Tribal Action Plan (TAP) Development Workshop. The Tribal Action Plan Training Initiative was established in direct response to the Tribal Law and Order Act of 2010. The Washington State Health Care Authority, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery prevention services are focused in communities and Tribes in Washington. A map of prevention services across the state has been updated to reflect Cohort 6 Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) communities.

The Secretary’s Tribal Advisory Committee, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has heard consistently from Tribes about their difficulties in successfully obtaining HHS grant funding. HHS understands the importance of Tribes accessing these grant funds so that they are able to provide culturally appropriate care and services to their communities.
