The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) Substance Use Disorder Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Section is hiring for a unique opportunity as a Health Promotion and Prevention Project Manager.
 
Position Objective:
 
In this position the Health Promotion and Prevention Project Manager is responsible for contract monitoring and compliance with state and federal contracts and related documentation. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of statewide prevention services projects. The Health Promotion and Prevention Project Manager provides culturally appropriate and sensitive technical assistance and training that disseminates the latest substance use disorder prevention science for service providers, community based organizations and coalitions. The Project Manager implements statewide evidence-based prevention initiatives based on comprehensive knowledge of effective policies, planning processes, program facilitation, and evaluation through a minimum of one statewide project. The Project Manager exercises significant independent judgement in decision making and functions above first level supervision.
 
This position is also the designated state level technical subject matter expert (SME) in Safe Medication Return Programs (a.k.a Prescription Drug Take Back programs) and prevention program development using the federal Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) Strategies and responds to complex issues. This position formulates broad strategic direction in statewide policy and prevention system development.
