“Pharmacology, Neurobiology of Drugs, and Understanding Addiction”

This seven (7) hour workshop is presented by Steven Freng, Psy.D., MSW. Dr. Freng has more than 30 years in the substance use disorders field. In addition to being a speaker and educator, he works as the Prevention/Treatment Manager at the Northwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), a region of 14 counties within Washington State that has been designated by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

This course will provide an overview of drugs across history, pharmacology, the neurobiology of drugs, and addiction. It is approved for seven (7) CEUs of Drug Education by the PSCBW and will count toward the Alcohol/Tobacco/and Other Drug Education IC&RC Certification Prerequisite.
