Please secure your oxygen masks! Signs of vicarious trauma and self care techniques

We are a traumatized field, working with traumatized clients, sending them to a traumatized community. Each day, many of us are asked to do more with less.  We love what we do and sometimes our cup is simply half empty.  This webinar will explore the signs of vicarious trauma and emphasize some self-care techniques. How do we go from Compassion Fatigue to Compassion Satisfaction and regain the love for the work we do?

Patricia (Pat) Tucker, M.B.A., M.A., is an experienced trainer/TA provider with extensive knowledge in PSH, Housing First, trauma-informed care, cultural competence, supported employment, and motivational interviewing. She is a skilled change management advisor, effective at helping agencies make culture changes at the management level. She has provided TA on both PSH and evidence-based Supported Employment nationwide under initiatives sponsored by SAMHSA and the Departments of Labor (DOL), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Veterans Affairs (VA). Ms. Tucker has been employed by AHP since 2007 and previously directed several large behavioral healthcare programs, training and supervising over 150 staff that included peer specialists, case managers, mental health and substance use treatment providers to over 2,000 clients.
