Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week, which is observed annually on October 23-31, is an awareness building event that highlights the importance of preventing drug abuse in our schools and communities and committing to living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Communities and schools in Washington are encouraged to participate in this national event as an activity to complement a community-based comprehensive prevention plan.

The National Red Ribbon Rally will be webcast live from DEA headquarters on Monday, October 7 at 8:00am (PT). A senior government official will join DEA’s Acting Administrator Uttam Dhillon and other guests and students as DEA kicks off the commemoration and celebration of Red Ribbon week. The Red Ribbon Rally will be webcast live on www.dea.gov. An additional pre-rally program will be webcast live beginning at 7:00am (PT).
