Rural Office Hours
Visit https://www.preventcoalition.org/rural/get-involved/ for a calendar invitation.
The Rural Office Hours are dedicated time to support coalition staff, leaders and volunteers implement their work and get technical assistance for program planning. These are drop-in meetings with no formal agenda or required preparation. Rural Representatives and staff are ready and waiting to share about the Rural Network, or support providers with prevention.
Who We Are
The Rural Network is a group of volunteers and leaders across Washington state building resiliency and safeguarding youth. We all represent rural populations and create a unified prevention approach. We’re parents, youth, school staff, business owners, medical professionals, law enforcement, government workers, faith-based organizations, and more. Together we’re convening a network of rural voices and developing supports to meet population needs.
The Rural Network is an initiative of Prevent, funded by the Youth Marijuana Prevention & Education Program of the Washington State Department of Health. Huge support comes from the fiscal agent, ESD 112. Prevent has been connecting and supporting communities since 2003. Additional initiatives are funded by state and federal grants, made possible by volunteers like you.
Who We Serve
We represent the voices of rural populations across Washington. A map of rural communities is located on our website at www.preventcoalition.org/rural.
We’re identifying key populations in Washington, assessing the unique risk and protective factors rural communities face, developing tools and supports, uncovering the greatest gaps in prevention/education resources and seeking to bridge these gaps. Together we’ll discover what works and what doesn’t with prevention in rural communities.
Visit www.preventcoaliton.org/rural. This meeting is open to all who work/live/play in rural communities, who serve rural populations, who self identify as rural or anyone who is simply interested in this program. Contact email@example.com for more details.
