Strengthening Families 10-14 Virtual Programming Delivery Primer Session with National Coordinator

On August 28, 2020 from 1-3 pm, Dr. Cathy Hockaday, SFP 10-14 National Coordinator, and I will be co-hosting a primer session for those sites in Washington State looking at implementing virtually in the next couple of months. If you are planning on virtual delivery in winter or spring 2021, additional primer sessions will be available in late fall (October/November 2020). Please note, the 8.28.2020 primer is for sites who are needing/wanting to implement in the next couple of months.

Who Should Attend 8.28.2020?
Trained and certified facilitators, program coordinators, and CPWIs with SFP 10-14 delivery included in their activity plans for 2020.

What Will the Primer Session Include?
Dr. Hockaday will discussion the logistics for virtual delivery, resources needed, technology needs, curriculum adaptation for delivery (non face2face), and lessons learned from sites across the country who have been piloting virtual delivery of SFP 10-14. Additionally, this primer is designed to layout a schedule of follow-up training for sites preparing to implement virtually. Dr. Hockaday and I will be meeting with individual sites for 1on1 prep/planning for each week of the curriculum. More information on how this will look will be provided at the meeting.

How Will This Primer be Delivered?
This session will be delivered via Zoom. An access link and password will be emailed Thursday afternoon to registered participants. Please follow this link to register. Registered participants will need to have a Zoom account to access this session.

Our Organization/Agency/Site Would Like to Provide Virtual Delivery after the first of the year (2021). Should I attend this session?
We recommend that for site planning implementation beginning 2021 to attend a subsequent primer session. We tentatively have one scheduled for October and another for November (dates are being finalized). A 'prep list' will be provided prior to the October/November sessions to help sites gather the necessary information and identify interested personnel/facilitators. You can register for the October and November sessions by following this link.

Is There a Training Fee for the Primer and Subsequent One-on-One training sessions?
There is no charge for the primer and 1on1 weekly prep sessions.

If I have any questions, who should I contact?
Please contact AnaMaria Diaz Martinez for questions about this training opportunity. The WSU SFP 10-14 training team will be working closely with Dr. Hockaday to coordinate this series of trainings for sites in Washington State.

Stay safe and healthy--
