Trauma and the Opioid Crisis: Coming Together to Advance Prevention, Care, and Recovery

On June 20-21, 2019, Greater Columbia Accountable Communities of Health and Catholic Charities, in collaboration with Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, are hosting a regional summit on Opioid Use Disorder and Trauma-Informed Care in Yakima, Washington. The Summit will include five keynote speakers and four tracks that include 30+ speakers from across the region.

Track 1 - Strategies for Managing Patients with Opioid Use Disorder

Track 2 - Patient, Payment & Stigma

Track 3 - Trauma Informed Care

Track 4 - Innovative Models of Care

Keynote Speakers include: Charissa Fontinos, M.D., Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Washington State Healthcare Authority, Edward Bilsky, Ph.D., Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, Steven P. Stanos, D.O., Medical Director of Swedish Health System Pain Medicine and Services in Seattle, Washington, and Vincent J. Felitti, M.D., FACP, will talk on “The Origins of Addiction: Evidence from the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study”.
