Virtual Training of Trainers: Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training
This intensive, 5-day training of trainers prepares practitioners to deliver the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) independently. Participation includes 16.5 hours of interactive, online learning, including a review of all training content, 10 group-learning activities, and opportunities to practice training portions of the curriculum. Participants will also receive access to the latest 2018 SAPST and training-of-trainer materials.
Trainers:
- Sandra Del Sesto, MEd, CPSS - Sandra has worked in the field of substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion for more than 35 years. She is a co-author of the Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies’ SAPST and Prevention in Ethics courses.
- Carol Oliver, MAT, CPS - Carol is an expert in the implementation of SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework, the current director of Prevention Solutions@EDC, and a SAPST co-author.
- Jessica Goldberg, MSW, MPH, CPS - Jess is a technical assistance provider and trainer for Prevention Solutions@EDC with over 10 years’ experience leading and supporting public health promotion and prevention efforts.
