Webinar: Balancing Choice and Risk

The Balancing Choice and Risk training session will describe the dignity of risk and the importance and meaning of individual choice and self-determination; discuss why it is important to be balancing choice and risk; describe 3 individual-specific components of balancing choice and risk; and describe 3 systemic components of balancing choice and risk. The session will also include a review of federal regulations that support the health and welfare of HCBS waiver participants and an overview of the 2018 Interagency Report entitled Ensuring Beneficiary Health and Safety in Group Homes Through State Implementation of Comprehensive Compliance Oversight.
