Webinar: Behavioral health integration - Opioid management in primary care: An integrated care approach

The goal of this presentation is to provide information about the scope of the opioid crises across the U.S. and specifically in American Indian/Alaska Native communities and to provide strategies to address the crisis and improve the effectiveness of the healthcare team. By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to accomplish the following objectives:
- Examine the strategies being used to address the Opioid Crisis in the U.S. and American Indian/Alaska Native Communities.
- Assess the complexity of safe opioid medication prescribing in the outpatient setting to include central sensitization, co-occurring disorders, and the risks of long-term chronic opioid prescribing.
- Utilize behavioral health integration to improve the care, safety, and outcomes of patients requiring opioid medications.
