Webinar: Brain under construction: Building pathways to resilient futures

“Prevention” is shorthand terminology for the work of breaking the cycle of addiction and preventing future generations from harm. SAMHSA invites you to join the HHS Partnership Center this summer for a three-part educational series to learn why and how faith and community youth leaders, families—and even teens themselves—can contribute to the resiliency of future generations.

Part 1: Brain under construction: Building pathways to resilient futures

Ruben Baler, Ph.D., health scientist at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, will share how different parts of the brain develop at different rates, what brain development means, and how teens can make choices now that may help strengthen their brain and their resiliency as they meet life’s challenges.
