Webinar: Embracing Adversity: Employing resilience and a growth mindset in complex times

All too often, our young people are engaged and invested in structures that run counter to the development of resilience and a growth mindset. Young people are discovering they lack the flexibility and malleability they need to manage adversity.
Resilience is the ability to achieve in the face of adversity: to bend, rather than break. So, how can mentors help youth become more resilient, and what are the structures around us that get in the way. Let’s explore how our differences, struggles and investments make us more gracious and productive participants in these complex times. (This workshop is designed for students, parents, educators and the community at large).

Learning objectives:
• Participants will gain an understanding of the nature of crisis and the disorganization and recovery that follows.
• Participants will understand the foundations of resilience building and connect these structures to practical application.
• Participants will become invigorated in their work to support the self-worth, esteem and general success of those they serve.
