Webinar: Examining the social determinants of health: A prevention perspective - Part 1

Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to make choices that lead to optimal health. The places where people are born, live, learn, work, play, and age are known as the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). These conditions are primarily responsible for health inequities and shaped by the distribution of money, power, and resources at global, national, and local levels. This 2-part webinar developed by the Central East Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) will provide background on the SDOH, how SDOH impact behavioral health, prevention, and wellness efforts for healthier communities. In addition, this series will increase the capacity of the prevention workforce to create innovative partnerships and collaborations through addressing the social determinants of health for improved population health outcomes for all.
