Webinar: The federal response to COVID-19: Supporting care for substance use disorder in rural america

During the COVID-19 crisis, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is leading the effort to ensure continuity of care for people with substance use disorder. The Trump Administration is mobilizing the Federal government to ensure the approximately 20 million Americans who struggle with the disease of addiction can access and continue to receive treatment and recovery support services, while keeping themselves and healthcare professionals safe from unnecessary exposure to COVID-19. In this effort, the Administration understands that there are many barriers to addiction-related care in rural America that present unique challenges to helping people get healthy and maintain their recovery. On this rural stakeholder call, senior Agency officials will share the unprecedented steps that have been taken to increase access to care in rural areas, support rural health care and treatment providers, and provide funding and other resources to assist rural communities impacted by substance use disorder during this public health emergency.
