Description: The use of effective engagement strategies as a tool for counteracting the disparities that many families and children experience will be demonstrated. Facilitator will provide an overview of the ten dimensions and demonstrate the power of weaving them to create physically, psychologically and emotionally safe and supportive school, home and community environments. Facilitator will also highlight how focusing on the use of best practices in engagement can yield positive family and community connections, students’ academic success and positive social and emotional development and high staff morale.
