Webinar: Mentoring for equity

**April 6, May 4, and June 8 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am PST each day. **

With the critical work of this series and limited space, we ask that participants commit to participating in all three sessions. We have space for 100 participants and will also have a waitlist.

This series will walk participants through the work of strengthening Race, Equity, and Inclusion work that begins with the self and moves to identifying equitable practices within organizations. Participants will leave with a better understanding of personal identity as well as how we can create quality, inclusive programs that support all young people.

Topics will include:

  • Mentoring for Equity foundations
  • Who has bias? We All Do!
  • Centering Social Justice
  • Debunking the Savior Myth
  • Embedding & Sustaining Equity & Culturally Responsive Practices
  • and Much, Much More

The Mentoring for Equity Series will be led by Dr. Darleen Sampson, PhD; LCSW. Dr. Darlene Sampson lives by her late parents' mantra: “Giving back to others is in your DNA-you must respect and honor the shoulders you have stood on.” With that thinking in mind, Dr. Sampson has maintained a space of social justice and cultural humility as she works across the business, education, and social work fields as an administrator, leader, and equity specialist. Dr. Sampson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and also earned a Ph.D., in Educational Leadership with emphasis on Culturally Responsive Pedagogy.
