Webinar: SFP 10-14 modifications with Dr. Cathy Hockaday (access link in the description)

During these times, we have all had to adjust and make changes to the way we work with families. We would like to give you​ an update on what SFP 10-14 is doing to help reach families in new and creative ways. Dr. Cathy Hockaday, program manager at Iowa State University, would like to invite you to a live Zoom call May 27th 1:30-3:00 CST to share some of the details as well as answer questions.

1. Check out our COVID-19 resource tab at https://www.extension.iastate.edu/sfp10-14/covid-19.  Please link to us or pass on the resources to others who may need them.
2. Please make sure you are following us on Facebook   https://www.facebook.com/iastatesfp1014/  as we have tips for families, activities to share, resources for professionals, and fun pictures. We invite you to send us your pictures of you and your family or your SFP 10-14 families enjoying their family time together  wherever they are. Please use this hashtag on your own page when posting pictures of families having fun together  #SFP1014StrongerTogether 
3. "7 emails" can be found under the COVID-19 resource tab. These emails/documents can be used however you would like to use them. Former SFP 10-14 families may find them to be a nice refresher of things they learned while in the program. If you had to "pause" programming this spring maybe it is a way to stay connected to the families. The emails do not follow any particular order. Families you work with in other ways could enjoy them as well. There is room on the 2nd page to add your local contact information if you wish. Have fun with them. 
4. We are piloting virtual SFP 10-14 in 5 states currently. Hats off to those who have ventured into unchartered territory with us. Watch the COVID-19 resource tab in upcoming weeks for information on how you can implement virtually if the situation demands it. Please reach out to Cathy Hockaday, hockaday@iastate.edu, if you want to consider virtual programming for the summer so that we can work together. There are many lessons we have learned along the way already. 
5. Please document anything you have done with your families since COVID-19 began so that we can show the many wonderful ways you have stayed in touch with them and brought them much needed services. We will send out another survey this summer to hear what you have done to stay connected with the families your serve.

We have a special project we will roll out this summer to help with recruitment for your SFP 10-14 sessions in the future. Details will be sent out when it is ready to launch. Do you feel like a kid staring at a wrapped boxed that says do not open yet? I hope so! The surprise will be worth the wait!
