The Family First Prevention Services Act was enacted into law in 2018, providing tribes and states with opportunities to receive funds for preventative services for eligible children and their caregivers. This law has established new opportunities to address trauma within Native children and families, but also contains new restrictions on how tribes and states can seek funding under the Title IV-E.
