Webinar: UW PACC - Tobacco cessation

Douglas Ziedonis, MD, MPH, is internationally recognized for his research in co-occurring mental illness and addiction, especially tobacco addiction and recovery-oriented interventions, with more than 110 grants and over 300 publications and scholarly works over the past 25 years. He currently serves as associate vice chancellor (AVC) for health sciences at UC San Diego and Executive Director, UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness, and is a tenured professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Prior to 2017, he was chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and president of UMass Memorial Behavioral Health Services for 10 years, with previous leadership roles at UCLA, Yale, and Rutgers. He received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University Medical School and his MPH from Yale University.
