DSHS Prevention Systems Integration Manager

Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) is seeking a dynamic, self-reliant, culturally competent Prevention Systems Integration Manager. You're responsible for monitoring, compliance and documentation related to State and Federal contracts. You'll provide culturally appropriate and sensitive technical assistance and training that disseminates the latest substance abuse prevention science research for service providers, community based organizations and coalitions. You'll implement statewide evidence-based prevention initiatives based on comprehensive knowledge of effective policies, planning processes, program facilitation and evaluation. You will serve as a critical leader in behavioral health integration efforts specifically related to substance use disorder prevention and mental health promotion.

Some of what you'll be doing

  • Develop and provide agency's workforce development plan and training.
  • Provide contract management and technical assistance for Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) cohorts and local communities.
  • Ensure preventive services - mental health promotion, substance abuse prevention and physical health systems and services - are actively considered and planned for in DBHR's ongoing health systems integration work.
  • Participate, as active member, in workgroups developing DBHR's response to the DSHS Secretary's call for integrated behavioral health services delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate state projects such as the young adult substance use disorders prevention efforts.

Who should apply?

Professionals with a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in social
sciences, human services, health education, or related field and/or or, at least three years'
professional experience related to one of those fields of study.
