Get Ready! Get Set! Go Nominate a Prevention Professional!

There is a new process by which to nominate your favorite Prevention Professional or Organization!

April 1 through July 17, 2024, will mark the new nomination period for the 2024 Washington State Prevention Awards of Excellence.  In addition, there is a new process and new questions to answer concerning your nominee.  These changes will streamline the process!

New Process: We have updated the process to include a Survey Monkey survey for a quicker easier way to submit a nomination!  Click the survey link to submit a nomination!

New Question block: Instead of up to 10 questions to respond to, there are six or seven questions (depending on the category of the nomination) to which to respond! The Athena Forum Awards page has a document to help you prepare your electronic submission!

Please take the time to nominate a colleague, young person, program, or organization in the following award categories:

  • Tribal Prevention
  • Youth Leader (individual)
  • Youth Leadership (group)
  • Young Adult Leadership (volunteer aged 18-25)
  • Prevention Professional or person who provides critical prevention and/or support
  • Community Coalition and/or Community Prevention Group
  • Contributions to Prevention by an Organization, Business, or Agency
  • Early-Career Prevention Professional

We will celebrate awardees and their successes at the award ceremony during the Prevention Summit in October.

Nominations are due Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.  Please review the nomination packet overview and nomination questions thoroughly; if you have any questions contact Martha Williams at Martha.Williams@hca.wa.gov or at 360-622-1289.
