Program Supervisor - Project AWARE (Advance Wellness and Resilience in Education)

The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to join the OSPI team as the Program Supervisor for Project AWARE (Advance Wellness and Resilience in Education).

This critical and innovative full-time, project position is based in beautiful downtown, Olympia, Washington.

Position Overview
The Program Supervisor will manage the statewide Project AWARE, a five-year $9.75 million dollar grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration,

 * To provide assistance to local educational agencies.
 * To support the training of school personnel.
 * To detect and respond to mental illness in children and youth, including how to encourage adolescents and their families to seek treatment.

Role
The Program Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and making recommendations concerning state-level policies related to youth behavioral health programming.  The position will establish and lead a State Management Team comprised of representatives from Department of Social and Health Services, Department of Health, Department of Early Learning, primary youth service providers, courts, tribes, and faith-based organizations selected state legislators to serve as an advisory council.  The purpose of the State Management Team is to remove barriers and identify areas of integration related to student behavioral health prevention and intervention programming.   The Program Supervisor will also oversee professional development for system capacity building and direct services to youth in three school districts.    At the conclusion of this five year project, the Program Supervisor will have facilitated the identification of three (3) student behavioral health program models for other school districts in Washington State to replicate.    

The Program Supervisor will oversee the evaluation of the project and ensure all federal program and budget reporting requirements are met in accordance to and remain in compliance with the grant award.

Compensation
The annual compensation for the position is $60,000 - $70,740 per year and will depend upon experience, educational background, and qualifications.
