This position leads the growing Child Youth and Family Behavioral Health (CYF BH) section that currently includes supervision of 14 staff including one Administrative Assistant 3, 9 WMS Band 2 employees, 3 contractors, and 1 system analyst.
 
The position is a member of the DBHR management team, ensuring the unit is operating within the overall strategic plan and is informed about the division, administration and department priorities and updates.  This position keeps the management team informed about the Child Youth and Family Behavioral Health Section initiatives and presents issues for problem solving as necessary and ensuring the Child Youth and Family Behavioral Health program perspective is shared with divisional and administration. 
 
This position is responsible to ensure appropriate use of an approximately $90 million dollar budget, and the formulation and directing of policy to shape behavioral health services and the system that serves children, youth and their families.
