CPWI Community Consultation
HCA/DBHR has partnered with the Washington State University IMPACT Research Lab to evaluate the effectiveness of CPWI communities in reducing adolescent substance use and related risk factors. The key findings of the evaluation have been developed into a one-pager handout for each community, and have been sent out to each community. These one-pagers are a great way for communities to showcase the results of their prevention efforts.
During the community consultations at the Virtual Coalition Leadership Institute, the IMPACT Research Lab researchers will provide participants with the knowledge and tools to tailor the one-pagers to suit their local needs. The researchers will also answer participants’ questions, provide personalized feedback, and share some example one-pagers with evidence-based framing techniques for adolescent substance use prevention.
Goals of the Community Consultations:
-
Familiarize the participants with the CPWI community one-pager handouts.
-
Help participants understand and interpret their substance use prevention data.
-
Teach participants how to personalize the one-pagers to suit their local needs.
-
Empower participants to effectively tell their prevention story by using evidence-based messaging techniques.
