Webinar: Adolescent development explained: Becoming an adult

This webinar will focus on the physical and cognitive changes that can influence other domains of development. Participants will learn from adolescent health experts about the physical and cognitive changes adolescents experience as they transition to adulthood. This is the first in a three-part webinar series on adolescent development that will cover topics including puberty, factors that influence development (e.g., nutrition, chronic illnesses), brain growth, risk-taking behaviors, and how youth-serving professionals and other adults can support healthy development. Presenters will also answer questions from participants during a Q&A session.

This webinar will feature two adolescent health experts:

  • Beth Marshall, Dr.PH., associate director and assistant scientist at the Center for Adolescent Health at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health
  • Seth Ammerman, M.D., adolescent medicine & addiction medicine specialist at Alliance Medical Center and former medical director of Mobile Adolescent Health Services (Teen Van) at Stanford Children’s Health and clinical professor at Stanford University
