Webinar: Cannabis 101: The cannabis landscape

Cannabis has been legal in Washington since 2012, but finding solid evidence and data around its use continues to be challenging. Join the Washington Poison Center for an exploration of the cannabis landscape and the contexts around learning more about its use. We will discuss history of legality and prohibition, and how this this history has contributed to our current knowledge. We’ll then shift to Washington’s retail and medical cannabis infrastructures, and tease out why this complicates research further. The presentation will additionally include discussion on the reasons why some groups (such as youth or older adults) may seek out and use cannabis, as well as the research challenges around these specific populations.
